Children want to play with it all the time, yet adults tend to be slightly less crazy about the sticky mess it creates and the pieces of it we keep finding in the carpets! Summer term is here and that can only mean the start of the sports day events! Sports days have got even more competitive over the years, now it’s not only the children going for gold but many parents too in the adult race!

With our British weather being temperamental at best, you never know if you will suffer from heat exhaustion or frost bite! While we keep our fingers crossed for good weather we need to think about how to enjoy the event safely.

It is a real challenge to steer them on the straight and narrow decision wise, be involved in their lives and loosen the apron strings! As teenagers are so secretive it can be hard to really know what is going on in both their mind and their lives!

Our tips on reconnecting with your teen may help you structure a new routine, or give you some idea’s on how to negotiate the teenage pit falls! April is National Child abuse prevention month so this half term may be a good time to chat with your teen about worries they have, review boundaries or set new routines.
